info Who?

Hey there. I’m Prashanth Kamalakanthan, and I write stuff here. I started this stream of internets in December of 2007, and I update it as often as I can with little tidbits that I stumble upon. I tried Wordpress briefly, but long-form blogging is too formal, too much of a hassle; consider this a raw, unpolished stream of thought. Currently, I’m a student in North Carolina.

info What’s in a name?

Zeta Hydrae is the name of a star, a yellow giant 150 light-years away. I found the name whilst frolicking about Wikipedia’s didactic depths. The star is named after its resemblance to the hydra, a mythical sea serpent. Make what connections you will between the namesake and the qualities of this humble tumblelog.

info What else?

This site was designed with FF2+, Safari, and Opera kept in mind. However, any modern, standards-compliant browser will render zetahydrae properly. Internet Explorer is the bane of my existence—IE7 was partially accomodated for, whereas IE6 was completely ignored. Consider downloading one (or all) of the aforementioned browsers; your internet experience will drastically improve.

You can contact me through my email address, which is anti-spammified, so you’ll want to fix it up before you hit “send.” Alternatively, you can visit my meta page for giggles and candy.
